Anniversary fun at Craftwood Inn in Manitou Springs, Colorado

A potted miniature rose plant was waiting for me Friday morning! 

When Perry made the reservation, he told the man who answered the phone that it was our 40th wedding anniversary. The fellow said he would reserve the table by the window. When we arrived, the couple from the first seating was still at the table. The host told us to follow her because she had a nicer table by a window. She was right!

We followed her upstairs to this beautiful room. We looked out over the mountains watching the sky turn from clear blue to dark showing the twinkling lights of Manitou Springs below.

We toasted to another 40 years! I toasted with iced iced that the waitperson served in a wine glass after she heard me say wine would trigger a migraine!
