"Star Wars and the Power of Costume” exhibit at the Denver Art Museum

On December 16, 2016, we toured the exciting “Star Wars and the Power of Costume” exhibit at the Denver Art Museum. If you are a Stars Wars fan, you won't want to miss this exhibit.

Chewbacca’s costume was a knitted wool base. The surface was hand-knotted with fifteen pounds of multicolored yak hair and mohair.

It’s easy to guess what these drawings are for!

Princess Lea's slave bikini - silk, painted resin, leather, and rubber.

Wicket the Ewok is drumming on a Stormtrooper’s helmet with mallets. George Lucas wanted the Ewoks made “as cute as the Teddy Bear’s Picnic” with little ears and bonnets.

Time to exit and head for the gift shop!
