My pottery lessons: the kilns

The air was very warm and dry in the studio because the kilns were firing pieces while our hands created. I kept a cold bottle of water with a Kup Kollar on the work table to stay hydrated.

These glazed pieces placed in the bottom of the kiln were ready for firing. It was always an anxious time waiting to see if my work survived the firing or blew up in the kiln!
