Ft. Walton Beach, Florida - Sand castles
After Perry taught a writing seminar at Eglin Air force Base, he joined me at the beach with sunscreen on and his water bottle in hand. We set off to find sand castles and sculptures.
I awarded this creative castle First Place for size and complexity.
The sharkâs teeth on this sand sculpture were carefully placed seashells. It won the Most Scary Award while somehow still seeming kind of friendly.
This castle won the Most Creative Award because it had a moat with a driftwood bridge, bird feathers to represent flags, and a beautiful top wall.
An eight-year-old boy built this castle. He won the Cuteness Award just because!
